Daniel Bokrosh Awaits Dispositional Hearing in Drug Distribution Case
The arrest stems from an incident on August 4, 2023, where Bokrosh allegedly supplied fentanyl, resulting in an overdose. Bokrosh’s preliminary arraignment was held on May 23, 2024, presided over by Magisterial District Judge Joseph D. Spagnuolo Jr. The case is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing, initially scheduled for June 4, 2024, but continued to June 18, 2024, at Luzerne County Central Court.
Daniel Paul Bokrosh, already incarcerated for a prior DUI-related conviction, is now facing felony drug charges tied to an August 2023 arrest in Kingston Borough. The case, filed under docket CP-40-CR-0002016-2024, lists three felony charges, including two counts of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
Although two of the charges were later withdrawn, the lead charge—possession with intent to deliver (35 § 780-113 §§ A30)—remains active. Bokrosh waived his preliminary hearing and arraignment, accelerating the process toward trial.
Bokrosh was originally granted bail in the amount of $50,000, which was posted twice using professional sureties. However, on April 7, 2025, Judge Michael T. Vough revoked bail and ordered Bokrosh back into custody. Court records confirm he has been held in Luzerne County Prison since at least March 23, 2025.
The next critical date in the case is June 2, 2025, when a dispositional hearing is scheduled at 3:00 PM. This hearing could determine whether a plea deal is entered, whether the case proceeds to trial, or whether sentencing will follow shortly.
Bokrosh remains represented by private defense attorney Frank Thomas McCabe II. Financial records also show Bokrosh has been making regular payments toward previous court-imposed fees and fines.
If convicted, Bokrosh faces significant legal repercussions for his alleged involvement in the distribution of fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid linked to numerous overdose incidents nationwide.
